1. MOVIE TRAILER FOR LOST PENNY

Editing Update: So... we finished principal photography for our feature film, Lost Penny, back in August. What does that mean exactly?

Well, it means we're in post-production. It means we're editing all the clips together, figuring out how to best craft the story. It means we're doing foley (the sound effects). It means we're finishing up ADR (audio dialogue replacement). It means a lot of things...

So, while we work on tightening up a few scenes, creating opening and closing credits, and doing color correction and foley, YOU can watch the movie trailer...

We're filming our newest feature film in August 2014 in Niagara.

So, what's the movie about?

LOST PENNY is the story of a girl named Penny who comes across a mysterious box with the words "open me" scrawled on top. Even though she is warned not to do it, she opens the box and steps into a strange world. But once inside, Penny begins to realize that getting out again might prove to be impossible...

As you already know, we've submitted the movie to the Manhattan Film Festival. But we'd like to bring the movie to other film festivals as well. However, this is not free. Most film festival submission fees average around $50.

And that's just the submission fees. If we get accepted, there are other costs: Posters, postcards, and other types of publicity.

It begins to add up.

But that's where YOU can help...

We have five levels... Ranging from the $20 "Roadie" Level to the $1,000 "Rockstar" Level.

Our upcoming feature film (the one we've been calling Guitar Movie) has got a new name...

The new title: The Legend of Jimi Lazer. (If you're wondering "Why the change?" check out our blog post about this: Working Title.)

2. A NEW FILM SCHOOL

We are setting up a film school to start in September 2013. We're connected with Transitions College in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Our goal is to give our students independent filmmaking experiences, from concept to promotion.

It's a two-year diploma course (accredited post-secondary film program by the Ministry of Education in Ontario). Students learn everything from pre-production to post-production: script-writing, casting techniques, various editing styles; working with different cameras...

We'll be having an Open House on Thursday, April 25th at Transition College in Niagara Falls. We're planning an On-Camera Workshop to coincide with the Open House.
